All you need is a pair of scissors and some plastic - i used an old take-away curry tub.

The idea is to make the existing seal on the filler cap seal tighter against the tank, to do that make a plastic washer (i used 2)

Washer size:

Note: you dont need to dismantle anything..... Fit the washer between the seal and the tank cap - as the washer has a "cut" in it you can just pull the existing rubber seal back with your finger and slide it into place.

Oh, and make sure you cover your fuel tank once you have opened the tank cap - you wouldnt want to drop anything in there !

Hope this helps..

Job done & I know it will work. Have to push the cap down now to close it. Well happy, and didn't take me too long.

Glad your sorted Grin..... now ride it like ya stole it... n weeeelie till ya hearts content !

:)

Thanks! gonna try this now coz it scares me when i have a load of fuel soaking into my groin...

I tried this on a CCM i once owned, Being a plonker, I didnt realise that the breather came out the top of the filler cap.

Its very embarrassing trying to Kick start a thumper for 30 mins after the battery died from attempts, only to pull the rubber glove off and have it start first time.
