Any of you guy's tried filling up with some super unleaded on the T's yet.

Just wondered if there is any differance in the perfomance or general running of the bike...?:flip

If you mean the super from Tesco , my mate uses it and believes you get a few more miles per gal. and it runs smoother. I tried it and it seems same to me.
High performance engine with high performance fuel = good ??

I have been filling my bikes with shell optimax and found that performance and fuel consumption has improved. Last month between 115 - 120 miles on a full tank. A bit more expensive per litre but cheaper in the long run.

I couldn't comment on the other companies, BP or TESCO's but I can recommend Shell's Ferrari fuel.

I have even tried in the car before a long run and again performance and fuel consumption has improved.

Someone who works at an Grangemouth oil refinery told me that the Supermarket fuels are not entirely the same as those from big oil companies and have slightly less properties in them.

Ok..fair commments,

So is there a bigger differance between the so called super unleaded fuels compared to the normal unleaded ones?,,,ie

Lets say you top up two or three times on a good day out or through the course of a week ...will it be ok to mix the various super unleaded types as we no that we do not always fill up at the same station...:thumbup

The owners manual says to fill Andiamo with 95 octane. The usual hi-test here in this neck of the Colonies is 91, with an occasional 93 octane from a select few stations. The problem being is that the 93 also has the "up to 10%" alcohol mix and I have heard some nasty things about the alcohol "drying out" various parts in the fuel system of the bike. Any mechanical or chemical engineers care to comment with research based information instead of a knee jerk diatribe based on opinion?

I've tried it in mine a couple of times and never noticed any difference, but the standard here is 95 ron anyway
