Nice ride yesterday, but as the sun dropped my heated grips came on - brilliant bits of kit:thumbup. I was glad I had my new Akrapovic softshell jacket on over my leather as well.

I dont need heated grips ... im not a girl :lol

My last ride of the year today. Had a cracker too as the roads were really quiet.

Do my winter storage prep next weekend.

Ignore the comments about "fannies"

Man up, get the heated grips on and get out and ride even when frosty.

A bit of white engine fur just adds the character

I did ride all through the winter last year , not much salt about down here last year though ... just chucked loads of ACF-50 everywhere and wore a slightly thicker thong :lol

I used to ride all year around on a second bike. The T is my fair weather bike.

Riding in bad weather is not fun in my opinion, so I don't do it any more. Nowt worse than frozen fingers (even with the grips on in winter) or getting soaked and trying not to skid off at every bend, man hole cover and overly painted road surface full of pot holes.

Each to their own, but I like to enjoy my riding as it is my means of relaxing. Cars are much better at comfortable, mundane transport in bad weather.

I don't enjoy riding in crap weather so it's just wasting fuel and tyres etc, plus I don't want any salt on my bike. That said, the occasional blast on a dry sunny Winter day can be brilliant.

Agree with Mikkel & Gilo here.
Biking is all about having fun & dodging greasy patches on the roads is not my idea of fun either, but we do have some good sunny days in winter so I'll wrap up warm & enjoy them.

Huhn? Winter? We don't call it winter around here until the ground is covered with snow. I also ride for transportation as well, or else I"d need two cars with the miles I drive, so picking and choosing perfect days is not an option. Reason for having a T and an ADV :)

had a good bimble around Weardale today and used the heated grips for the first time :yes roads were ***** with a combination of gravel, wet leaves and horse **** :no still enjoyed it though :thumbup
