lack of power

Hi Guys,

long time lurker first time poster

, i know its pretty selfish, but now summer is here and i will be riding a lot again. just have a question for the mechanically minded, i rode in today but starrting from cold she backfired a LOT and finally settled down. but there is a ridiculous loss of power, its like i am riding a 500 CC. i am suspecting that one cylinder is out. could it be anything else? or is their a test i could run?

What have you checked so far?
What do your spark plugs look like?How about the battery,....holding its charge?
Check around the airbox,...could be a vacuum pipe adrift?

Sounds most likley a plug check the obvious b4 ripping ya bike to bits , I've ad 4 vtwins and 9 times out ov 10 was always my front plug , crud n water ingress seemed to be the front plug I'd change them both n see how ya go

Mine did the same but it had spun the flywheel. It was as flat as a witches *** ride
