Knee down

Been trying to get the knee down for a while with the RSVR and am not having much luck, I am certain the bike is over as much as I will get it and still nothing, I have come to the conclusion that because the bike is so tall and I am perched up so high I probably aint going to get the knee down, (unless on the track perhaps).

Er knee down on the way home from work is a regular cheeky bit of fun for me.
It will most likely be body position rather than lean angle.
Is the rear tyre scrubbed to the edge? if so its over far enough.
Knee down side ball of foot on end of peg and heel tucked in.
Turn hips toward corner not just the knee out (dont twist around tank).
Head over the inside of the bike (kiss the mirror)
Drop inside shoulder into turn.
Listen out for the sccchhhhhhhhh
DO NOT LOOK DOWN AT ROAD TO SEE HOW CLOSE YOU ARE.
30 MPH is enough for roundabout surfing!!!

Hey hutchie....

I was in the same position for a good 6 months on my zx7r......really frustrating. Especially going down that final inch to initial touch down.

The only real handy advice that was given to me when I was learning was; try not to hug the tank too much as your body will twist around the tank and pull ya knee in towards the bike and not the track....shove ya bum back towards the rear a little so you have a bit of a gap between ya knackers and the tank. This should free up your knee down leg, allowing it to swing out further :biggrin. I think the key thing is not to try too hard, relax and it will come :thumbup. It will make you jump when you 1st touch. Once you've done it once it's easy and you'll wonder what all the fuss was about......

Try thicker sliders (wet weather) ones to help you get the feel and progress to sparkies from there.

Basically followed that video and kept going round the round about until I got it, was getting dizzy Haahaa. Got there though.

I think the height does make it more difficult. I'm right at the edge of my tyres to get my knee down but on my mate's gixerI can do it far easier and that is a little lower
