hi am need off your help just brought a 2003 old shapr rsvr my first one,it has the standard carbon look can on it at the mowment and wanted to change just the can did not want to do anything else and wondered what can would work best on standard bike ,i was looking at a leo vince ***,or the aprilla race can but wanted something i could just remove the baffle on,have seen a few cheap cans like blue flame, wolf ,scorpion, did look at akprovic but does not have a remove baffle, was thinking on the new evo 2 which has the removable baffle any ideas what they are like and the sound off course thought i would ask the experts on this ,be using this site all the time so nice to know you all happy new year kirky.

Welcome to the site and a happy new year:thumbup

Why do you want removable baffle? If you have a standard can that should do you for test time and the rest of the time use the race pipe. I can recommend Akrapovic as thats what I have. Sounds awesome and looks good too. I have a carbon one, some will advise against it due to stories of the carbon not coping with the thumping Vtwin but I reckon that must be cheaper carbon cans or older ones or something coz my one is sweet and been on there a while too.

Kirky welcome, as Sabbath says Akrapovic are considered the best exhaust cans on the market though as you've discovered, they don't make a road legal removeable baffle end can for pre 04 RSV Mille, only a titanium race can. However Arrow do make a titanium road legal removeable baffle one that is awsomely good. Leo Vince have improved a lot in the last couple of years and are now excellent cans as are the latest Remus and Tigcraft cans. As with everything you get what you pay for, the choice is yours.

Have a look here

I have a RSC Ti Aprilia Race can for sale if you are interested, it is Titanium and in superb condition, repacked recently, it does not have a baffle and has the not for road use polished out, there are no markings on it now, these are top quality cans, it is fairly aggressive and loud, anyway let me know if it's of interest mate

how much do you want for the can would i need to do any other mods chip ,filter etc, cheers kirk.

They are £500 which includes a chip, i have been there with chips and tried loads, the standard chip is the best all round chip, so stick with it whatever you fit, don't waste your money on chips.

I am happy to take £150 and you pay the P&P of your choice, these are quality cans, you should be able to get a baffle from CCC if you want one, i just bought two baffles from them at £40 for my cored cans on my track bike.

To get the best out of the bike you want to fit an airkit mod, these bikes need this mod to allow them to breathe better as the airbox is too small, i have a DIY version if you want to try that let me know and i can email it to you.

It is the fitting of a renegade/evo/homer ewe airbox mod, the majority of us on here will have done this, i did my own one for a few pennies (i'm a Jock:pirate), there are a lot of pics attached to it, so if anyone is interested i can email it to them.
