Hi while the tank was up today decided to check on the condition of the air filter.
Found it to be a K and N.
My memory tells me these are washable. If so how and does it need re oiling afterwards.

warm soapy water then clean cool water followed by blowing it through with air and leave to dry , k&n do actually sell a special cleaner and oil, about £10 each ...the oil is purple which is what gives the filter that colour.
