help anyone was out on my bike last night and after filling up with petrol my bike didnt want to start

fuel pump primed up alright and it wound over then fired for 3 seconds .

got it back to my garage today and it wouldn't even turn over . first thoughts was the battery so stuck a new one on and still didn't turn over .

put the multi meeter on it and as soon as the key is turned the amp power really starts to drop from the battery indicating a power drain .

is this a starter solenoid problem ?

or am i in way over my head . the bike has been running like a dream for the last 4 months.

if it's the starter solenoid you usually get nothing when you click the button, an easy way to test if it's faulty is to bypass it using a pair of pliers, just bridge the connection (be aware it will spark) and it should start up, if that don't help, probably something else,

starter solenoid replaced today and job done no more power drains and bike fires up perfect

went for a pattern version of the Yamaha solenoid still perfect plug and play

thanks for all the help guys much appreciated
