****** italian *****! i will love you again tomorrow but today i want to put light to your fuel and baske in the warmth of your demise......
ok chaps without pouring though old threads whats the most likely cause of the t cutting out and comming up with the triangle of death and then also a graphic of an uplugged conector with 'ecu something or other' under it? (plenty of battery life but nothing when ya thumb the starter...)
happy days:bawling

Side stand switch ???, brown connectors ?,bad earth ? .

it acts like the stands down..... i did have a fiddle at the side of the road(couldnt help it, i was bored) and nothing was obvious.....:dunno
will stat pullin it to bits tomorrow... joy:banghead

bad luck mate, guess its gonna happen to us all one day though !!

Don't know what to say Rob but do the usual **** and ask us. My Rsvr conked out for no reason one day because the fuel pump conector worked loose after I'd had the tank up. We should all probably take the panels off and make sure all the lecky is good and tied steady. Most of it's under the seat/tank and back end so it ain't ard.

Gonna see if I can get tommow off and get stuck in to the beast... Can't wait:lol

Bitter Sweet......

oh dear...... went to have a look at the italian whore when i got in from work, turned on the ignition, yep no sidestand or neutral light, yep there's the triangle of death, wait for it.... yes there's the ecu 'unplugged' display, thumb the starter... nothing:bawling
ok, these things have a diagnostic mode, right?... fumble with the buttons to bring up the display, press the main beam switchby mistake...... click? Vvvvvvvvvvvvvvv as the fuel pump primes, neutral light.. check! side stand light.. check? thumb the starter and ROAR the ***** starts....... :banghead
still gonna have to strip the thing and check her out, but would have liked to have brought her back to life by means of repair so i could be sure i aint missing something thats gonna pop miles from home, lets hope i see something obvious!:bawling
er anyone got the R.A.C.'s number........ i'm thinkin of joining:lol

Bloody typical !

When its time to renew insurance, try carol nash, they include recovery - the day i bought ma T, it finished the journey home in a recovery van (bloody puncture)

:)

tell me about it!
(just had a quote £144 fully comp from the bike insurer, sure carol nash includes breakdown but its £306 for the privilege!)

£144 ..... seems a good deal - i paid £220 last year with CN, twas the best i could find then.... but always pays to shop around.
Need a rider / multi bike policy come renewal in June - anybody recommend one ?

My Carole Nash multibike policy was £268 for the 748 and the Speed triple. Includes breakdown recovery, accident recovery (which neither the AA or RAC do) in Europe to and legal cover.

mine was £ 378 ish but with 8 points it was £406 for 3 bikes fully comp etc. with carol Nash

Try Bennitts.
They did price match.

£220 F/C
2 bikes.
Tuono & ZRX1200s.
But I am old, and no points. Ever.:yes

Apparantly i need a "classic" bike (or one over 20 yr old)..... mates just renewed with CN (996 + Z750"old"+KDX) for £120 - You have to have a 20+ yr old bike to qualify..... Bollx.
