...on friday night, proper good trip, even thought the weather was *****. Bit more eventfull than planned, my brothers engine blew on the way up, and my alarm left me stranded at a petrol station near Dunblaine on the way back on thursday. But thanks to The Griff and his mate Eddie at ERS racing in Dunfirmline I was able to get going again thursday evening, 50mph on the M74 couldn't see the lorry in front of me for the spray off the road. Not been many times I've been scared on a bike but that, and crossing the Forth road bridge in high winds are two:puke

Popped in to see griff on the way back for a new chain and sprocket, as good as always despite his recent bad news.:thumbup Thanks again and sorry I was a bit out of it friday.

Will post up some pics later, but didn't take many as my camera ain't waterproof:biggrin

AAHHHH.......Scotland.........Don't you just love the weather:jack

You couldn't of picked a worse time dude!! It's never normally "Cot'd'azur" or anything but this last 2 weeks has been the worst i can remeber!!

Kudos for even going bud!!! I ride the bike to work, rain or er.......rain:devious and know how bad its been up here on the roads!!!!

Top work that man........................:thumbup

The main purpose of the trip was to scatter the ashes of my step dad on Loch Ness.

That is glorious! Good on you for going. Was the alarm problem water related or was it a dodgy alarm?

love it up there even with the rain,
my inlaws have a guest house in glen coe
took this pic while we were up there a few weeks back

Nice pics. Great biking roads. Luverly scenery. Spent 5 days touring part of the Highlands at the end of September. I wasn't brave enough to go on my Factory though, used a Pegaso. Not as fast but good fun all the same.

Yeah roads were awesome, came to the conclusion that a bad day on scotish roads is better than a good day on london roads.

Don't know what caused the alarm problem, but think it was probably water getting into it, couldn't get it to deactivate after it went into sleep mode.
Really ***** thing to go wrong cause other than that the bike covered 1300miles and didn't skip a beat. The guy who took it off said he removes more alarms than he fits these days. Gonna get one of those alarm disc lock things.

i saw a disc lock that turned into the left foot peg so you cant ride off with it on but cant find it on line bloody brill idea

ayupp just did another search and found one . bit big for mille maybe but good idea all the same
