Always been a Ducati man but was struggling to find something for road use (I have an 1198S track bike) then this Tuono V4 came up locally for a couple of grand less that a "straight" one so I thought I could fix her up.

All fluids changed, it runs lovely, sounds amazing with the GPR Thunderslash exhaust (which I'll have to change, way too loud).

All fluids changed, there is evidence its either been laid in a ditch or more likely flood damage as the only other damage is the front indicators are hanging off snd the left fairing is missing. I've been through every single electrical connector and cleaned out any corrosion and filled them with ACF50.

These Are the issues I'm stuck with:

The rev counter is dead. The rest of the clocks appear to work fine but the rev counter does nothing. I've stripped the clocks and the bottom 20mm of the circuit board was corroded so I guess they are goosed. Can I buy new clocks and program them to my keys?

Also when I turn the ign on the right indicator flashes. If i cancel it goes off, but i can only select the left indicators, but not the right. I'm guessing this is also related to the clocks as neither work when the clocks are unplugged.

Funally the solenoid for the hi-lo beam flap on the left headlight is rusty and seized solid but ive found a new pair of those.

Bit of advice on what i can do diy wise when it comes to fitting new clocks?

Welcome. Sounds like you might have got yourself a bargain!

The clocks may be salvageable if you can find someone good with a soldering iron. They would need to disassemble the clocks and PCBs. Using a fibreglass PCB pen, clean off the corrosion. Resolder all joints. Respray with lacquer to seal. More of a hobby job, but it could work!

shame you don't know anyone with the same bike near to you, swap the clocks and see if it sorts the issues before spending needlessly

Saw the eBay clocks. Managed to gets brand new set for the same money. The ridiculous GPR "Thunderslash" pipe is off, awautinf a HP corse hydroformed titanium can.

Hoping the clocks will sort the indicator issue too.

Also got a pair of headlight projectors for £50 :) cheaper than buing a complete headlight.

Now someone find me a carbon RSVR tail unit!

I think I saw the bike advertised on eBay? I raised my eyebrow at it. My gpr is not to bad when the flap opens in the valve yes it's loud but you are well moving then so wind noise also a factor.. Check the cables are connected on the exhaust flap under the bike.. If not that's your noisy problem
