Hi peeps, i've just bought an 08 Tuono factory, but they cant deliver it until 21st January 2010. How frustratin is that, an I have just joined this comunity so thought I would say Hi.

Have I done the right thing trading my 08 Fireblade for this piece of Italian art

Only you can answer that really. Italian bikes are a love or loath bike really. Same in some ways a Twins. You either love tehm or they're jsut another bike.

Tuonos are quirky at times and have a few possible problems etc.

However they're a cracking fast comfy bike that handles lovely and is built brilliantly.

I wouldn't go back to a Jap IL4 that's for sure.

Very minor issues, mostly electrical and mostly on charging.

Does yours come with the Ohlins forks then ? they are notoriously weak on the fork seals, common for Ohlins seals to go.

'starting' if not on a Optimate etc is the main weakness of the Tuono though. Different battery, different starter relay etc are the common replacements.

when I bought my Mille Factory I had to replace the fork seals on them, but would hope the fact the Tuono has only done 1200 miles that that wont be an early problem, but yes it has the Ohlins and if my memory is correct when I was selling the Mille I had to jump start it as the battery had died......

All stuff you're pretty used to then :)
