Just got a 2001 R. Saying hello and hoping to get some ideas and advice on how to make this thing fit me. I am admittedly very new to the Aprilia club. Got a good deal on this one and after doing an initial sanity check on reliability and grinning on the test ride I decided to take the risk and go for it. But now I need to sort out what needs to be done to this thing. Anyone have a running list of mods/issues that are common with the Mille?
For starters the previous owner put drop pegs on it. Those need to go as they interfere with the clutch and break. Any advice on rearsets? Preferably that would allow for some lowering over stock - though I might just go back to stock while I figure that out.
