jet40 with no success guys - wtf

O

OZMILLE

Hey Guys

Let me throw a spanner in the theory.

I run a heavy duty barnett clutch in my 2000 RSV, instantly after installing it I could no longer shift into neutral at stop. I MUST now shift into neutral whilst rolling to s stop.

I installed the JET40, and can positively state that this had NO effect on helping it get into neutral whilst still. Maybe its a good mod only if using the OEM clutch kit??

Cheers

Barnett have produced a modified part, i believe a slightly thinner clutch plate, for it's original product to stop the problems you are experiencing. I would contact barnett direct

Hi Legs

Thanks mate, the clutch has only done around 1000 miles, was probably sitting in the warehouse for years before I bought.

When you say thinner clutch plate, are you talking about the steels/frictions or something else??

Cheers Pete

they updated a percific part of the clutch kit which cured the issues with the o.e kit

Their problem was the Barnett plates made the stack height too big so the plates were unable to seperate enough to reduce drag.

The fix was a thinner outer plate which they were offering free to affected users.

Give them a call.
