Hi, I am pretty new to rsv ownership and this site is the dogs for help and advice.
I have a 98 model mille with ohlins and chip loud pipe etc, does the jet mod work with an old rsv?
Cheers

Welcome to the forum mate.

Yes the jet mod will work on your bike, makes the clutch easier to use and helps with finding neutral. In stock if you need one.

What is this mod you are speaking of??

The jet mod makes no difference to the weight of the clutch lever.
It restricts the flow of oil onto the clutch basket meaning less drag on the clutch plates.
It makes selecting neutral easier.

Its for use on any Gen1 Mille and the Tuono , it is an oil control jet (very much like the jet's you find in a carburettor), and is accessed from the left hand side of the engine from behind a bolt just above the oil filter housing.

WHAT IS IT!!!!!?????:dunno

OK so its for the clutch on the Touno's then??

Jet came today - thanks xps

Fitted it - slackened off and pushed a wooden cocktail stick into jet and drew it out!
Brilliant - no need to play stamp/lift stamp/lift curse stamp/lift threaten to smash it with a lump hammer.....
I NOW relax, look smug and snick it in and out of neutral in my pipe and slippers, I reckon with practice I could find neutral with my mind powers.
One thing though the Aprilia parts show 60 and replace with 40
The one I removed 75!!!

Great forum
Thank you

I cant seem to get mine out... tempted to drill it but wouldnt want to get shavings in the engine. Tried cocktail stick but it seems to fet stuck on the allen bolt thread in front of it?

Ok, I have been advised I could unscrew the jet, disconnect the fuel pump and turn the bike over and it should shoot out. Where do I disconnect the fuel pump? :O
