Just read that this is a seriously good mod to do .......but will a 0.40 fit on a 2000 rsv and does it really make that much difference?:dunno

not sure, but on the websites, for our 2k bike, its a jet 75?

does the 40 replace the 75, just swap them out? how about you go first and tell us later....!

I think the Jet 40 is the job as the OEM 04 to05 is 0.60

didint realise that the 00 bikes have a 0.75 probably explains the clutch drag.

i am all about making life easier on the bike, even the smallest little item, i would find a way to screw it up!

Ok going to be the dumb arse and say! whats the Jet 40? whats it meant to do for the bike?
dont ask you dont know I guess

The early bikes had a slightly different clutch basket. It got redesigned about 2000 and the jet went to .60 because the new basket/plates required less oil.

.40 jets have been used on the early clutch with no ill effects that i have heard of.

might be worth trying, its only a few bucks...hell with it, i will order one tomorrow

Be very carefull when fitting the clutch oil jet fellas. It's tiny and requires a bit of delicate screwdriver work. Just take your time and make sure the screwdriver you use fits exactly as you don't want to burr over the slot.

Where can I order one from then???

I was thinking of Yorkshire Aprilia but now I might go somewhere else.

Tim

ps I will need it delivered

does southern cross have a website, i am restricted here in Germany from aprilia stuff, all these people have are scooters!

Is this the right size jet to upgrade to and is it worthwhile? I have just been reading the how-to for the later models 04 onwards and it seems a good upgrade, but is this one as affective and worthwhile for my 02 model?

:dunno

Hi JAYB

I have an 00r model and its an excellent mod. Getting the 75 jet out was difficult for me though, must have been put in extra tight. I ended up drilling mine out
