Hey guys, i recently sold my KTM RC8 ( needed to free up some cash  ) i've bought a Gen 1 zx10, great bonkers bike BUT its not a V twin...

SO... looking at the price you can pick up a RSV R for now, i'm thinking of getting one and put Jester's kit on it over winter.

Any one got a few pics of bike's with the kit on? especially jester seat with standard fairing, does it look ok or does it need the full kit to "work"?

I ran a 2000 mille a while ago for a couple of years so i know the bike's, the R's look a great buy now with all the bling kit they have on em.

PS has any1 got a R with trashed bodywork they wanna sell?? :devious

PPS money's behind the bar :thumbup

Think the tail looks a bit too small with the yellow but the lines seems to flow much better with the white tank/tail stripe to link em in :thumbup

@redrat - I see from the pictures you have carbon swing arm protectors fitted. Can I ask what method you used to attach them?. I've got a pair sat here, tried using sticky adhesive pads but the next morning after fitting them, some of the pads had became "unstuck" because of the way the things actually sit on the swingarm. How did you do it m8?.

Good question mate, I ordered some last night and was going to ask on here for the best method......

you want to use double sided numberplate pads...you'll get them at a motorspares shop..very strong adhesive..

Cheers Gez....also, have you thought about putting up a 'walkaround' video of the Evokit on youtube??

They dont work m8. :dunno

Because of the curves on them when you try and stick them on with the number plate pads you either one end or the other to sit right and stick properly. Kind of hard to explain. I found that I got the chain adjuster end of mine to stick fine and sit nice and flush but the other end towards the front of the swing arm near the rear shock end would stick out about 1 cm with a gap between the swing arm and the carbon cover because of the fact that the chain adjuster end was pressed tight against the swing arm in its correct position. Tried a second time with a load of new adhesive pads and this time I got the chain adjuster end sitting ok but concentrated on trying to get the front part stuck down flush. The opposite happened and the chain adjuster end popped out and I ended up with a gap there this time.

This was even after fitting them using the above method and then cable tieing them in place to leave them overnight so that even pressure was applied for a good amount of time. The number plate pads just don't cut it m8, unless you know a particular trick to get them to stay stuck??!!!.

I've heard some folk say just use sealant but I can't see that holding them on for long. There's also an adhesive called Sikaflex that body repair places use to fit spoilers etc. Not tried it as yet though.

The reason I'm so paranoid about getting them to fit perfectly is that I had one on last year and the bloody thing came off during a rather *ahem* "spirited" ride one evening. I didn't notice until I got home. :angry

I've seen that one, though it's not THAT near Otley :p. It's much closer to Harrogate!

it's mine....in answer to the carbon swingarm covers...the reason they are hard to fit is cos there *****...there moulded straight of the swing arm so there not made oversized ..whatever you use to stick them...leave tape holding them on overnight..
