Jerky engine

Engine gets all jerky and horrible when running at about 4000/5000 revs, mostly noticeable in 1st and 2nd gears.
I'm thinking it the throttle bodies needing setting up, but just seeing if it could be anything else.
Was wondering how "badly" the engine runs when the throttle bodies are not setup properly compared to when they are sorted?

Yep mines the same ..feels like someone throwing a switch....getting Griff to sort it Thursday...you near Essex? (Inside the m25)He could squeeze you in for a tb set up/co level check

Some engines much worse than others when the T/B's get out of sync, Frankie's went out so bad once that riding was almost impossible and the rocking motion made me sea sick. It literally took 10 minutes to sort and it was like a different bike.

I'm about a 15 minute ride away from Mr Pieman RedRat.
Hopefully it is the throttle bodies then.
I know they're out as it was that bad that the engine used to cut out when up to running temperature, opened the screws a bit and now it runs, although pretty jerky.

phone griff at the shop asap...he'll slot you in ,30 mins work will work wonders....make sure the bungs in the headers are ok ..i.e. soak them in wd40 and loosen them off ....

Shall cal on Lord Sir Griff when I get a chance.
Another thing about it. When I shut the throttle off the engine revs down almost as if the brakes are being slightly used. Thought that might have been down to low oil, but wondering if it's related.

You should have popped along to piemans....anyway my bike still has issues looks like the ebay throttle bodies I have fitted have issues ...it's a lot better than it was after they spent way too long playing with it but looks like I need to swap throttle bodies to eliminate the problem
