just an update... iv had huge amount of starting problems with my RSV... its been Southern Cross 3 times... fair enough... they have always got it going but it would stop working when it got 'really really' cold & then i took it too Metropolis who also got it going until it got cold again... ... but... ... Southern Cross (Andy) spent 3hrs on Sat sorting out my bike... & its been starting 1st time every time on the button !! :thumbup

even on Mon when cover in 3" snow for 6hrs @ work !!

& this morning when covered in hard frost... & i mean the whole bike was covered... scraping the bloody stuff off... parked out on the main road because i could'nt get into my side roads due too the ice... BLEEDIN AMAZING... it started 1st push of the button !! :doug

id just like too give a big shout out too the SOUTHERN CROSS BOYZ... Tim, Andy, Matt & Don + the others... & the best thing... ... THEY DIDNT EVEN CHARGE A SINGLE PENNY !!!! :pirate

Yeah I like that place, my 3 Milles will only go there despite being a **** ride to get to!

I like the fact that it's got the feel of a proper garage with the bonus they know Milles inside out.

I will however say they never managed to sort out my 2 back brakes I asked them to sort out lol

I got better results taking off and bleeding the caliper in two positions myself...

My input in Southerncross is that they are great provided your bike is serviced or rapaired by Andy. If you get any of the other mechanics it's a bit more tricky.

Hi Mark,

They sorted out my back break. I haven't had to bleed it since. I think they install a plate to prevent the master cilinder from overheating.

not 100% sure to be honest... Andy spent 3hrs going over everything with a fine tooth comb... & set up the bike on the dyno... fixing the A/F curve... & setting up the TPS/TB's & CO's etc !! :dunno

but it starts... in severe weather... when it wouldnt before... i just hope i aint jinxed myself... lol... & lets see how long it lasts !! :thumbup

they drilled my rear brake master cylinder mountings so it sat at more of an angle the 1st time i turned up... again... no charge... & maybe because its got a wavey disc on its always worked well... again... iv probably jinxed myself... lol !! :thumbup

Last time I had my 02 for a MOT in there, it would not fire up all that easy sometimes (intermittant). Not that I had really noticed.

They listened and diagnosed a fuel pump issue and dug out an old fuel pump and fitted it for free! I don't even know these guy so it was not a mate thing.

That's why I keep gong back, they do a fair deal. :)

Thanks for the tip re back brake.

Rgds

Mark
