Well gentlemen i will be away for a while off to Italy for a jaunt and a holiday. So hope the weather holds out... Just contacted my mate out there and its 38 degrees:thumbup that will be ****:dunno......

Laters

hmm bit concerned about the tunnel??? its on fire and i am travelling out of it on my beloved RSVR tomorrow night....:confused

Heard about that on the news, was some kind of a chemical fire too. Heard it may be shut for a few days due to the recovery of the damaged train carriages and tunnel lining.

But then again that was on Capital FM so the chances are it's a load of bollocks.

Have a good time in Italy you lucky bugger.

riding the west coast line down to ravello:thumbup got to go to a wedding on Saturday then steady ride back on tuesday:thumbup

:lol i always ride safe................:dunno

Now I never said you didn't ride safely did I squire :devious :lol

The coastal route from Genoa down to Naples is fantastic sir. A bit out of your way, but there is a road from Florence out towards Rimini that if I can find my blessed map i'l give you the road number that is absolutely amazing. There is a cafe/restaurant mid way along on one of the highest points that is completely bike mad. Wall to wall bike pictures and models, and a damn good cup of coffee to boot :thumbup

sounds great mate hmmmm models or a cuppa ? let me think :lol:lol:lol no choice a cuppa it is then :lol:lol

Pretty sure it is the SS67 from Florence to Forli, 50 miles of switchbacks up and down. The hairpin style bend taking you past the cafe is the locals favourite for knee down pictures, and a lot of the pictures in the cafe are indeed knee downs around that very bend :thumbup

Pinched from another site.....
Passo del Muraglione. The most famous motorcycle pass in Italy and arguably the best! If you are riding this region you can't miss it. The climb from Dicomano is tight and technical. Once you get to the top you have to stop at the Muraglione Bar for a coffee. Whilst you enjoy the view and a rest you'll see all sorts of bikes come and go, even in winter!

Enjoy :thumbup

Did I mention I love Italy? :laugh
