Is this worth a look ?

Personally I would say that the RSV is overpriced as it needs a £500 repair to get back on the road. I would say that the bike is only worth that figure once repaired.
For info, I sold my '98 bike for £1500 last summer......

I like how it says easy repair for DIY man  steer clear mate thats no DIY job for the faint hearted :roll have a shop around fella sure there is better :thumbup

For the price of the bike and the repair job being about £2500 there's RSV's out there if you look that are fully road worthy and don't need any silly work done on them

£500 ... now that would put me off :roll is that main dealer repair cost :dunno

You can do much better than that. 2002 models go for as low as 3000£ if you're lucky and negotiate well.

Steve, that link is to a 2001 model base RSV.

Sergi, R models are about £500 to £600 more than the base model and the early ones are becoming very collectable especially mint low mileage examples.

Legs, The original link was for a 1999 bike, wasn't it?
I would have gone for a R model but the insurance was more than double, it seems fair to pay a bit more for the extra quality. Still, how much would you pay for a 2000 R version? More than 3000£??

Ok, much as I suspected. Always good to get the opinion of those who know, so thanks everyone.

Steve - I've got Midlandssuperbikes in my favourites now, thanks:thumbup

How does that nxgn-ltd search facility work? - can't seem to get to any page that's usefull. Thanks for the tip off though.

Rene

Sorry Sergi my mistake, i thought you were refering to my autotrader link. I think paying around £3200 for a pristine, low mileage R model is i great buy considering what you are getting, along with the exclusivity and as i've said the early R's are becoming very collectable. My local dealer can't get enough of them. He's got customers waiting for R's and are paying well over the odds for pristine bikes. They all say the same though, there is a lot of crap out there and it's just a case of sifting through the dross to find the good ones.

Steve, One is a 2000 model and ones is 2001 model registered in 2004.

Are i see legs... i thought it was funny how it could be a 04 :thumbup still nice looking bike.. i had a test ride on my first mille at the shop so brings back memories , if that one had been there i would of had it :roll:thumbup
