Can anyone who is also vertically challanged help???

apart from my stunt double in lord of the rings most RSV riders seem to be 6ft plus bruisers.

I have tried platform boots, stopped smoking and eaten all my veg and take 2 viagra a day to no avail and at 47 seem to be shrinking by the minute . I have now developed an utter fear of red lights and stationary traffic. Hanging off 1 side inevitably leads to my boot ( Oxtars) getting caught on the foot rest followed by a panic attack as i try to free it again.

I'm well prepared for some outstanding comments to this post but if someone seriously has any knowledge of how to lower an 04 RSV Mille as opposed to cosmetic surgery it would be appreciated.

PX mini moto plus cash may be accepted.

I'm a short arse too, just about touch the floor with the tips of my toes.

How high is your seat?

I know you could get different link plates for my previous bike which altered the ride height by a few millimetres. Not heard of them on RSV's before but you never know someone may do them.

Have you checked out if you can alter the length of the rear shock etc....? Don't forget if you drop the rear you'll have to drop the front too.

Im 5ft 7 with a 30 inside leg, i took mine to Southern cross and they set mine up for me, mine was a good 10mm lower than RS3milles, i could sit on mine and walk the bike backwards with both feet but on RS3milles i had no chance, so ya must be able to shorten the rear shock by compressin it as they did on mine, i know the front forks were set on the 4th ring but not a clue about the rear :thumbup:thumbup

" How to lower an Mille????"

Let down the tyres!!:biggrin

Sorry just had too:devious

1 There are height adjusters for the rear, plus drop the front throught the triple clamps.
or
2 lower springs.

either way there's trade offs.

Keeping the geometry of the bike.
rake angle for the front.
and/or suspension travel.

Or
learn how to slip off one side of the bike went stopped.
Stop and slip down side-stand "for bike to rest on."

Watch a young lassie do this many years ago,
So facsinated with her and her technique, followed, way past my place of work,:thumbup
She was on a GSX1000. before the "R" 's were thought of.

someone suggested viagra would keep it up so thought i would try anything.....

Thanks for the advise i think i will e-mail the company to find out more. I concur with
the tippy toe stuff but is a mare especially when 2up. Love the top antipodean suggestion but if i took those off my cycle i would have problems with that.

Thanks again people for advise and humour

eat loads of pies and drink loads of beer, that will compress it a bit, or go find your self a big mamma for the back, just how wee are your stumps?

You could always engineer cranked wheel spindles - it would ride like a clowns car and you'd have to hope that when you pull up at lights that you're at the bottom of the crank :devious:thumbup:devious
