is their anyway to fix or clean it the speedo sensor? Mine threw its hand in yesterday and I need it sorting.

Cheers

Not heard of any way but as it's knackered anyway, why not tear it apart and see if you can fix it?

Mine broke a couple of years ago, stone or whatever shattered the casing, I tried wrapping it in cling film which was okay until it rained really hard! Unfortunately I had to order a spare from Italy which had a delivery forecast somewhere into the next millenium...as an interim I fitted a Halford cycle computer to the front wheel (just goes down to m/cycle wheel radius) this worked okay but stops reading at 130 mph must be some bloody fast cyclists out there!!!

Lol.
Brilliant. :biggrin
Lateral thinking.

I have fixed mine......I think
The 3 wires are soldered on at the sensor end, carefully cut away the rubber from the end where the wires go in and de solder the wires making a note of which wire goes to what terminal.
Now the tricky bit the cable on the outside is fine but the wires inside are ****, corroded and unsolderable, I ended up cutting half the cable away till I found good wire, so I had to extend the wires from the sensor to where I cut the cable , I then rejoined the 2 halves with heatshrink crimp connectors, then wrapped the whole lot in 2 layers of insulation tape....................not pretty but functional.

when they break thats it best thing to do is buy a new one my mate told me

Yo sharky,
