I used to have a nice car prior to buying the bike but due to the trip and desire for a bike I had to let it go,Anyways I always found that you get random knob jocks in there less nice cars trying to race ya out do ya etc etc, but obviously I wasn’t interested! anyways was on the way to work this morning on the mille :Biggrin and had this dodgy Suzuki commuter bike alpine stars material jacket and god knows what else:jack, I was taking it steady round a roundabout and up to a junction, looked in the mirror and this plank of a rider was reet up me arse as if there weren’t enough room to go around me! Then over tuck into all the ****** gravel in the middle of the road “bellend” then took off out the junction not even looking where he was going!!

Arghh what’s all that about?

plenty knobs about matey, on bikes, cars, trucks, driven byblind pensioners etc etc ----- Bastids. I had someone fly so close past me our shoulders touched, ******* wanted me to take the bait-but i never
Ck

Same on the roads as on the track....theres always some **** looking to show 'how good am I' sort of thing and usually get unheard comment like '****'.....been riding bikes since 1970...on and off and still amazed at how many idiots are on the roads. Take comfort in the fact that eventually the 'TWATS' either get nabbed or end up with expensive repair bills...

......best way - besides, nothing funnier than someone thinking their willy is bigger than it actually is..........:jack:biggrin

What is it with all this "look at me, I'm a demon on the road, in bed, on the mike, with my axe, on the pitch" etc etc atitude. Men.............we don't half make life complicated sometimes:confused
If I want to go fast I do it, and if it means overtaking a bike I'll do so as safely & considerately as I can. But if I'm tired, riding badly or just plain 'not in a rush' I'll pootle along.

Keep it going your way Milleboy :thumbup

ignore the pillock mate, the sooner he's round you and gone the better.
you should ride out to willingham woods, you encounter 5 cocks every mile on your way out there, you know the type, just stay on the same roads learning it for years and then wait to race bikes on it,sad scrotes.
everyone has their rounabout or it of road ect but these numptys think they own it,or everyone should be racing everywhere they go.lol
theyre usualy crap once theyre out of their comfort zone.!
stick to your own pace buddy.

Well said, Renevator ! :thumbup

There are some serious f*cked up people out there..
In my case I think it's even more complicated as there are, besides the obvious pro's, also con's to being a woman..
Pro: with much less testosterone flowing through my veins, I don't have the need to prove myself or to go look for near-death experiences in order to have a good time.
Con: Men have strange attitudes towards me.
Either they are overly patronizing and protective, or they're afraid of me and keep their distance, or their ego's can't handle getting it handed to them by a woman.
Last trackday this bloody moron made an impossible maneuver, coming in way too hot and with impeccably wrong timing, just so he could pass me.
He nearly pushed me into a ditch. :rant
I've got bad news for people of that caliber though.. My track-addiction has only kicked in recently, which means there's plenty of room for improvement and opportunities to serve certain a$$whipes an invigorating appetizer of cringed ego, topped off by a generous helping of burned rubber and dust. :devious

actually that brings me to my next question and i think you may be the one to answer it

Quite a few people are looking into doing advanced riding courses but i was thinking would a few lessons at a track day be more rewarding as you can acctually find out ya style ya limits etc etc just something some one mentioned to me

If there's anything I'd ever recommend any biker in search of more confidence and improvement of their riding-abilities, it is going on a trackday!
I have learnt SO much while having the best time on my Mille, from just one trackday!
Besides, you guys from the UK have much better organized, safer and more available tracks than us Belgians..
I haven't ridden a UK track until now, but I might this summer together with my boyfriend. He did his first trackdays on UK tracks (Cadwell, Donington and Silverstone), and still hasn't stopped talking about them!
I suggest you and your buddies enroll in a novice course of a track near you, and you'll have a blast, I'm sure.
The greatest thing about it is that you have instructors that are very willing to ride in front and behind you for a couple laps, and then point out your mistakes and explain how you can improve. I learned heaps that way!
It also feels awesome to take a sportsbike like the Mille to it's natural habitat, where you can play with it under much safer and more controlled circumstances than on the road. :)

Keep us posted !! :cheers

the last time something like happened to me it was a 15-17 year old on a scooter, flying through double line traffic like a mad man, he then got stuck at the traffic lights 100yards ahead, as i pulled up next to him <i made sure he was on my left>, i revved my r1 and he took the bait, as he f@@ked off from the lights, i hit his big red kill switch ha ha and rode past him as he was trying not to drop his bag of ****...... he was only wearing tshirt and sandels plus a lid, **** ........ not that im nasty or aut

:spit :laugh :laugh Poor thing! Hope he didn't get injured, but other than that it's damn funny.

haha the old kill switch trick always works a treat.makes you look a complete muppet.lol
im hoping to get some more track time this year if i can keep in good health long enough ffs.youll love it mate,no kerbs, bollards, traffic, coppers ect.
donnington and cadwell are my faves.
my mates all went to barcelona last year and loret de mar,it looked great looking at the roads on google earth, hope theyre going this year.
