To check the valve clearances without removing the tank?

Any other things i need to consider?

Cheers

hi matey

don`t take this the wrong way but ............

if you are not sure maybe get someone who knows to do it for ya ,or a dealer
you would not want do get this wrong :eatcorn

Take the tank off as it gives you so much more room and visibility.

If you're worried about taking the tank off then valve clearances are a big no no.

No probs i am just lazy...

Mate of mine is coming over and he is Wiz on engines from marine Diesel to motor bike. I was just wondering that could it be done... saves some time if it can be done. On my previous tank off coolers off etc.

I didnt take my tank,I didnt have any new sealing washers so didnt risk it,no probs with the tank on,just tilt it back as far as you can

So i thought since you have acess to the hex holding the cover.

Front cylinder requires more to do than the rear...

Well tank was removed. Valves were within the tolerance one intake was at the 0.12mm limit others were more in the middle of the tolerances.

Broke the bloody quick lock thing on return fuel hose and i lack some washers to get the fuel hose and the tank fitted back.

Otherwise not a big deal and i was happy to note that the cams were as new like all the rest that i was able to see underneath the cam covers.
