Of a 00' Mille R, I read that it's 190/50 as standard but would that other size upset it or would it be ok

Oh ok cheers.....to be honest I didnt check the one on it, I've just been reading that it's a 190/50 as standard, have you had a 190/50 on by any chance, if you have, what did you think and is that what made you stick/go back to the 180/55

It's a Pilot Rd 2 that's the 180

There are (minor) issues with some makes of 190 rear catching on the chain on the gen 1. Some say they prefer the handling with the 180. I have a 180 but not had a 190 on mine to compare. I'm pretty sure the user and maintenance guide lists both as OK.

Rob :)

Mine has a 180 on and it handles brilliant,it has a sticker on swingarm from new saying it can have either a 180 or 190

i have both sizes on my 2 bikes and to be honest i find them just the same. with no signs of chicken strips on either lol

Always had a 180, 55, 17 on mine. Never felt the need to change and apparently speeds up the steering slightly. That is on the OZ wheels mid you.

Hi Ian, if you are hauling *** on trackdays, then consider a 180 rear. Especially if the track has several high speed side-to-side transitions. For normal street riding, the 190 is fine and i doubt you'd notice any major difference.
