On mine (00') that's what it feels like after having a mid 90s blade and 00' R1, it's one of the most uncomfy seats ive had.......is it me

I have an 06 and reckon it is the comfiest seat I have ever had, apart from the sofa of a seat on a Yammy Thundercat!

I think the front seat is fine. Can't speak for the pillion though, I've not used it yet, it does look pretty thin.

I think someone used to sell (years ago) gel pad things to use on top of the seat to improve comfort. iirc they were for twin seats rather than seperate rider and pillion. Might be worth a google.

Rob :)

Yes theyvare quite hard. I tried a early model corbin that was rock hard so settled for a sargent seat,
which is expensive but made a huge difference, its grippy, more comfy and is dished toward the back which made an improvement on the oe. I wish they made them for the V4, after zebrugges to brno non stop the seat on the v4 gave me two big bruises on me arse!!
Ck

I find the stock seat pretty comfortable even over a fairly long distance ride. If it's getting sore over a set amount of miles, just stop for 5 mins and have a stretch. Does wonders and also has the added bonus of keeping you mentally sharp for the remainder of the journey.

So aye, it's just you. :nana

I'll aggree with carbon kid.....so no it's no just me :nana

Infact the 00' R1 seat was the comfiest I've had on a sports bike yet

I put the mille seat down as one of the comfiest for a sports bike unless the pre 2000 model seats were harder and then changed on the later bikes .

Never had any issues with mine, I regularly visit my folks which is a good 3 hour stint from my place (Wiltshire to Kent) and I have to admit that its a lot comfier than either of my 600's I previously had. Although that could be that as the Mille is bigger it fits me better, I used to suffer with painful knees as well on my 600's but that doesn't happen either now.

Would you happen to have a skinny *** ? I rode from Lands End to John O`Groats AND back to Lands End no problem ? we did Knock hill on the way up and Donington on the way down, but I dont have a perticular spindly *** so that may have helped ? I did this in memory of the great Ronnie Smith of TT/BSB fame and Performance Bike mag and Raised £3000 for the Isle of Man TT air ambulance. Bless him gone but not forgotten.

Best advice I can give is get it on the track that way you wont be sitting on it much you will be hanging off one side or tuther like a demented chimp !! problem solved and you are having the time of ya life !! ha ha :doug

I've kinda wanted to do that for a while (as in years) but didnt, but to be honest, dont think I'd want to know unless it wasnt mine, if I came off (which I just might) and it's the Mille....I'm fkd

Fair point, and thats the very reason I bought my CBR600 Race bike, RSV for the road track bike for the track. Only other thing is beer n pies then fella get that there spindly *** padded out a bit ha ha :eatcorn

Err beer n pies nope!....I used to drink alot years ago (mainly lager though) and eat all the **** that was going, didnt put a bloody ounce on :confused :roll.....yes that's good in a way as I probably burned it up, but a right pita when you want some beef on ya
