Is it ever going to stop hissing it down?

A

ANDY MAC

Washed the bike last week gave her a quick lick of wax in anticipation of going out for a blast this weekend.....what a joke. Just about permanant rain in this neck of the woods. Anyway I now have probably the cleanest bike in Oxfordshire. Im a dangerous man with a tube of autosol and a bottle of wax. Even polished the brake banjo bolts....Read every hit on this site and now I'm bored....
Please please stop fffin raining:rant:rant

What do the rest of you do when the weather is this crap???

Well i personally have to ride my bike weather it's pissing it down or not as it's my only mode of transport, so i spend most of my time constantly washing it every time i get home! It is getting a bit fooking tedious though! As for stuff to do, get youself down to the bike show at the NEC when you get a chance, Beautiful bikes, Beautiful women and some really Beautiful deals. Just managed to get my hands on some really nice blue flame cans for £320! And some R&G crash bobbins for £60. I think it's on till the end of this week :thumbup

Well what do you know? It stopped raining and the gale force winds dropped and I went out to check the weather situation, looking good :thumbup

Thought I'd better check the tyre pressures, hmm need some air, unlocked the car and connected up the tyre compressor, all good to go now although bloody cold by now and clouds looking threatening.

Go indoors, find helmet, winter gloves, jacket ,boots etc... got suited and booted just opened the back door..............................to see one of my biking mates I hadn't seen for a while walking up the path!

Dilemma, do I say '' can't stop,I'm desperate to get out'' or '' Hey,good to see you '' ? :dunno

So of course I invited him in and put the kettle on ,then had to go and yet the outdoor gear off again.

It's a conspiracy , I wonder if it was fate keeping me from something untoward that was due to happen on a windswept, leaf strewn, wet B road in the depths of N Wales ?

I think I'll treat it as such,I'm going stir crazy stuck indoors without the possibility of any 2 wheeled therapy.

I know exactlu what you mean. Nice bit of sunshine some dry roads popped the baby into first got half a mile down the road and my front tyre was rolling around like jelly. Fooking massive puncture!!

Anybody got any BT-016 front tyres? Or know where to get them cheap? Knowing my luck i'm gonna have to slap a brand new one on and have to scrub them in the rain on the way to work!

Doubt I'll be on mine before next spring at this rate. Wanted to get in the garage over winter and strip her down for a good deep clean as well as changing the dash led's, fitting my new MPL clutch slave cylinder and .40 clutch jet as well as other tinkering mods such as a new set of fairings with a Bradley Smith paint job :devious ......but, when the winds picked up wifey came in saying that all my daughters garden toys had to be taken down and stored. NOW NO BLOODY ROOM IN THE GARAGE TO MOVE:rant I'd even brought a new front paddock stand so everything could come off but not used it yet.

Looks like it'll just be playstation and then skiing to look forward too for Christmas for me
