Is ASD Lighting standard on UK spec bikes

I have a 2003 RSV with ASD; basically there is no light switch to turn the lights on and off. Is this common on UK spec Aprilia RSV’s from 2003? I always though ASD was for the American and Japanese markets.

I think ASD was standard on 2003 UK models. My 2003 had the ASD switchgear on it until I changed it for the earlier (up to about 2000) type. I now have a headlight switch and, better than that, I have the indicator switch where it should be. Like this...

Well worth the (little) effort!

My 2003 was one of about 50 made for the Japan market but diverted to UK instead. As far as I know it was identical to UK spec (when it was made).
