Head north and go to the giants causeway - brilliant. Head south and go for the oysters - go anywhere for guiness

did it 6yrs ago, loved the place, we stayed in Wicklow, small port down from Dublin, people very friendly made us feel most welcome, roads on the other hand *****, it takes twice as long to get anywhere over there than it does in the uk

Headmuscle

The Rory Gallagher museum in Cork,,,,,:banana

Also Ozzie touched on it Travel north into the six counties and ride the Antrim cost road,,,,brill

If your going in May I'd strongly recommend trying to go and watch the 'North West 200' it's on the 15th May this year.

I will agree with Leslie, up in the north they have UK roads. The south is a different story but improving from what I hear.

Racing wise, everyone should pay a visit and watch either

1. North West 200 - 8th to 15th May 2010 - Portrush, Port Stewart and Coleraine racing at it's best

2. Ulster Grand Prix - 11th to 14th August 2010 - Dundrod, Lisburn. This is full on road racing. When you see the roads you'll know how the Joey Dunlop was so good.

Both are great to watch and well worth the trip.

England2

would that be the "In Your Town" Rory Gallagher :thumbup

Yes,,sadly departed,,,but there is a fantastic tribute band doing the circuit called Sinnerboy, if you get chance go and see them.:cheers

One of my top albums. Taste live at IOW.:thumbup

I live in Dublin and I'll admit the roads aren't the best and after the frost its even worse. Was driving through the Wicklow mts yesterday and I was shocked at the damage the cold has done. But with that in mind riding in Ireland isn't all about the roads your on, if it was you'd be in the Alps.
