I would just like to introduce myself as a "newbie" I've been riding bikes most my life (it is a way of life) :) I've owned a lot of bikes over the years from blades to huskies but I'm currently enjoying my first v-twin I've a first gen rsv which I've been working on for the past few months with the help from the lads over on the aprilia forum ....currently running 16 - 44 gearing,Gabro chip, evo air box,Barnett clutch but she's work in progress.....ride fast and safe everyone

Welcome along

which aprilia forum?

What can are you running..you missing a trick not having a modded collector fitted

Hi thanks for the welcome, I'm in the AF1 forum I've seen lots of your posts - and it's thanks to people like you I've managed to get my bike mille to where she is now!! I actually did a collector box mod (only one 'crossover') myself using the info on some posts regarding your work, I think there is a pic somewhere ....result :)? But I think if I'm honest I still have a very small slight flat spot but it's moved up the rev range. Do you know if there would be any extra benefit of having a 'crossover' as in intersecting with each other like the do on the big american v8's. wether or not this would balance or help with the scavenging effects? I still have a spare collector to play with...Im just running a old Beowulf can it came with at the moment, I wanted to put a austin racing can on off a rsv4 with the exit under the bike but this would reduce the overall length of the pipe and I was advised (rather told on another forum that the exhaust system cost millions of £ in r&d and that I shouldn't be messing with it) but generally this would be detrimental to performance ?? :pirate
