Hi guys, what value do you apply to your bike, do you insure at the basic price or do you take into consideration your Bling. How does it effect your insurance if you tell them you have upgraded/changed parts, my bike is worth far more than the basic value but my insurance does not know that and would they want to insure it with the changes.Wheels alone cost £1750. What do others do?:confused

I insure mine for 3200 and dont tell them about mods they will only pay what they think its worth

the value you tell them does not really affect the price or value they put on it if its crashed a valuer will look at it and place a value . if you say its worth £10 i bet the ins wont come down either . just give them a good market price and any add ons if you dare .
most standard stuff will prob cost more than after market

Try Adrian Flux insurance http://www.adrianflux.co.uk/?rw.cm=GOOGLE,PPC,adrian+flux&gclid=CI6in9C20Z4CFcts4wodPHZ2sQ,

they specialise in modded cars, bikes, kit cars etc

You can tell them all your mods, including turbos, big bore kits,500cc engines in 250cc chassis etc and they won't bat an eyelid.

You can get agreed value cover for pretty much anything without breaking the bank. Aftermarket carbon race cans, crash bungs, hid conversions,no alarm? .. not a problem Sir,no extra cost. :thumbup
