Had my blade insured by bennetts for £120ish fully comp,, but sold it about 3 months ago and bought a t. Swapped insurance over and bennetts said it was cheaper so knocked £100 of the excess, cool. Renewal letter just arrived and cheapest bennetts can do is £474.00 but I will get a voucher worth £7.00 for a breakfast thrown in, yippee. Get on the interweb, find it for £169 with same excess and 3000 more miles per year, so bennetts you can poke your £304 pound fry up up little chefs chuff. That's my rant for the day done, cheers

Exactly! In this over competitive world, insurance companies drop prices as low as they can to recruit new customers, then load the prices every time you renew or notify them of a change. That said, Bennets bike insurance does include a range of standard mods (including some aftermarket exhausts) without additional cost. So the trick is always compare apples with apples, and be prepared to get fresh online multi vendor quotes, such as confused. com and uswitch, etc, every year if renewal quote is significantly higher.
 
Just had the same changing mine, multi bike fz8 and a ypvs, was £250, p/x the ypvs to the Tuono, went to £678. I said to them try again and came back with £400, even Dick Turpin wore a mask when robbing you, the price of a phone call saved £278, that was with bennetts as well
 
Yep I have no loyalty to any insurance companies as there all shisters :thumbdown and always say I been quoted less even when I haven't :yes
 
just got in from work to find a card from bennetts reminding me about my impending renewal (even though I rang them and said I will be hunting around so no auto renew please). Anyhow , they have come up with a revised quote, £496.40 with the £7 early starter little chef voucher. So to sum it up, rang em and said I don't like price ,they come back £22 dearer. So my little chef fry up has gone up to £326 for the honour of bennetts cover, w##k#rs
