Hi yeah so as some of you already know i recently bought a PC3usb from a forum member (thanks Mark) :thumbup
I have got the thing all wired in right now i think.. the injector wires are def all correct and its earthed but i cant get my head around the grey wire connection..
official instructions say install a wire tap onto the middle wire of the unplugged TPS (the thing off side of throttle bodies) but it didnt come with a wire tap, only a metal blobby bit lol
regardless to say i have got the grey wire connected nicely to the middle wire and im pretty sure thats sweet, but here is where it gets confusing:
are you meant to plug the TPS back in?? the official instructions dont say either way but im guessing its left off... :dunno
to further confuse me i then plugged in my netbook and fire up the software, connected OK and got the map etc but it showed throttle 22% lol.. it even flickered to 23% but it certainly didnt react when i opened the throttle and closed it, is this normal? i had the ignition on but didnt start the engine
just seems a bit odd to me that you unplug the TPS and dont plug it back in again.. how is the ECU let alone the PC3 supposed to figure out where your throttle is at? :dowhat
oh and how cryptic is the o2 sensor/controller crap there is no guidance at all i could find on the net let alone any manuals or explanations on the official site, through dumb luck i found out it was the lambda sensor off the exhaust... 2 names for the same thing :jack
