Inserting wheel bearings

I am about the get my wheels back from the powder coaters, and I am going to put new wheel bearings in front and back.

The question is what is the best method for doing this, with shagging the wheel housing or the new bearings?

ideally a press but a socket that matches the outer ring of the bearing with the back on the bearing and tapped in with a rubber mallet.

Will it go in easy or do I need brute force. Getting out was a *******.

Put the new wheel bearings in the freezer for a while before you try knocking them into the wheel

As Legs said, new ones in freezer and heat up the bearing housing on the wheel with a hot hairdryer, once hot grab bearings from freezer and smear in wd40 or similar them use the old bearing or a socket to press in, apply equal pressure all the way round so it is not trying to go into the housing squint.
