Info on installing the RACE map

Having just got my Factory complete with the AR slip on I believe it should have the RACE map installed ?
Does anyone know of anywhere in the North West area that can update/flash the original ECU with the RACE map?

You will need a unlock code for the stock ecu to remap to race, think you can only get said code if you buy a Akra can or system from Aprilia , most people just buy a race ecu from a stockist, google rsv4 race ecu, that comes unlocked and with the race map on it, once installed the dealer will have to do the learning process as well. They can be updated if Aprilia bring out a updated race map but it has to be done at a dealers with latest Aprilia P.A.D.S. equipment, as I don't think the navigator can do it. Although that said a lot of peeps don't bother with race map with a slip on as it runs quite rich anyway with the stock ecu. Hi Guys,

You do not have to buy the akra from Aprilia to get your bike ECU unlocked. I have done many of these also Tuono V4`s. The navigator is capable of installing the RACE map onto your ECU it depends what year bike you have as the navigator will have the 2012 map. Although that map is better than the standard map anyway. I have a navigator & may be able to sort this for you.

Having spoken with Woods of Abergele they say their Ducatis are very similar and as long as it's UK spec a slip on can will not effect the running as the bike has built in tolerances which will compensate but did recommend Rockets dealership in Blackburn - anyone with any dealings with them?

Many Aprilia dealers are not interested in doing this mod, either they do not want to or do not know how to do it. I may be able to help with this, send me a PM & will see if I can sort this for you.
