Indicator switch

Hi there,

I have an RSVR 04 which rocks, however am I one of the only people who fecking hates the position of the indicator switch, does anybody know if there is any way to adjust it's position or any mods as I'm tired of people giving me the finger when I accidentally hit the horn when trying to indicate?

Thanks

No mate,it's not just you.:dunno

On the plus side you do sort of get used to it, unless you also have another bike with 'proper' indicators.

The best way round I've heard of is to move the switch gear round the bar by removing the location pin.

Personally I would just drill another hole in the bar a few mill higher up and get round it that way.

really easy mod.....

undo the 2 screw/bolts.
split the clam shell housing,
you will see a brass locating pin,
use mole grips to remove said pin,
reassemble and twist unit round a bit to get the indicator switch in the correct posn,
tighten up!

all done in about 20 mins:thumbup

Hi really stupid question but I take it the pin goes back in once in the correct new position?

Sorry to be an ***.

Just removed the small bronze pin. Seems to be a lot easier to get to the indicator switch now, apart from a massive soaking this evening it seems better. The unit could be a little tighter but I don't see it moving around too much.

Many thanks for your help.

That's why I said ' drill another hole a few mm round' :thumbup

you get the position AND security, plus it can go back ( or anywhere else) to standard pos if you don't like it.
