Hi all, was at fort William, Skye and glencoe recently and sadly a stone shot up and wrecked my front left hand indicator, ;-( so I now have a new one, are they easy to fit? Connector goes in behind the fairing , short on time so can't spend hours fiddling with it, do I just take it to my aprillia dealer to save hassle? Any input will be valued :) martin

...and one straight forward connector. :)

On that subject... a previous owner replaced one of my rear indicators with a soft rubber stemmed unit, whereas the other three are hard/rigid plastic. Otherwise the indicator size, shape, color (amber) are identical. Anyone know what the flexy rubber unit might have come from (Gen 2 or earlier Gen 1 perhaps). Mines a 2003 model.

If anyone has a hard/rigid plastic unit please ping me (any lens colour is fine).

What do you need to remove fairing wise? If anything , as I said I don't have a lot of time to play with :)

If gen 2 nothing needs to be removed . Remove 1 bolt holding indicator on.. disconnect connector and then replace the unit .

If you can't get to the connector without removing the noise fairing, then you will need to remove the fairing! ;). It's easy. 4 bolts, two on each side, and the fairing pulls off in forwards direction. 10 minutes max to remove/replace fairing. Make sure all your bulbs are working as you can change any at same time!

PS: Anyone know what model the soft/flexi rubber indicator stems come off? I presume a Mille but not sure.

These indicators were used on a range of bikes - not just aprilia's. i have seen them as oem on Moto Guzzi's, triumphs etc. Could just be an aftermarket part
