right got a problem i lent my bike out while i was banned and it was dropped .

front indicator broke off i wasn't too bothered as there cheep aftermarket ones picked up some more and stuck them on and when i flick the indicator on the relay makes a funny noise and the indicators dont flay the just come on but very dim .

the old front indicator had a bulb just jammed in (didnt look as tho its the one for the indicator)

checked the rear bulbs and there 23 watt

what watt bulbs do i need for the front as there are no markings on the other side bulb ?

Hi mate i had same problem i had to change the relay i had one off my zx7 i put that on and it was fine

Your relay contacts are fooked mate.

Get an LED relay off Ebay for about £8 and it'll sort out your problem and you will be half way there when you decide to add LED indicator units.

if the relay was fooked the neither side would flash , im still getting flashing indicators on the right side

even with 23w bulbs in the left the right still flashes but the left just comes on really dim

Sounds like you have an earth fault check your wiring or try different bulbs as they might be shorting in the holders.
You can eliminate by changing the wires from one side to the other and then you can see which one is faulty process of elimination

Disconnect the front indicator and see if it works, if it does than it may have an internal short.

If when you remove the front indicator from the circuit it doesn't resolve the matter then I would say that you have a relay issue possibly as well.

Mine did this when I first bought it, it would take about 10 seconds for the relay to actually flash the indicator and it made a groaning noise during the process too. Strange thing was it only did it on one side, if I remember rightly it was the right hand indicators that flashed slowly.

PS. Your indicator bulbs should be 10W or higher.
