Hello all,

Quick question, has anyone bypassed an Immobiliser on a RSV 1000 Factory 04 plate. If yes how did the do so? Did the need to change the key switch and replace the ECU? Any info that people have will be greatly received.

How do buddy..

I'm having ECU problems too. I've just registered so I can trwal the forums and look for an answer. I gather it's a common problem on a 04...

I've replaced my ECU with a second hand one and now I'm struggling to find a dealer that knows what I mean when I mention the blue key to re-program it.

Did you have any luck in bypassing it altogether?

Sorry for hijacking your post.
Thanks for your help.

John.

Hello badger.

I've seen those pics before, mine is much much worse. I've had a second hand one on standby for a while. I just need to find a place that will reprogram it for me.

Incidentally, mine all but caught fire. It gave quite a plume if smoke before failing completely, I'd recommend any one having this drama to deal with it soonest.

And posting it and a public forum and not pm is a good idea ?

Hello

You managed to sort this?

Bypass not burning...

Good Day,

I was track prepping my 2004 RSV1000R and removed the top triple to put on some clip ons. I hung the top triple off to the side...could have pulled on some wires from the ignition unit... also, using a rubber mallet to lightly hammer the top triple back on I suspect that maybe I damaged the ignition/immobilizer through vibration or something. But the Bike will not turn on...no power to dash...nothing. No blinking immobilizer light on dash either.
I checked all fuses and connections around the bike. I have a race this coming weekend, could someone please PM me with a way to remove the immobilizer system and perhaps go keyless for the track bike. Woodcraft doesnt make a keyless kit for it like they do for other bikes.
Thanks for your time
