Due to a severe lack of funds i'm having to sell the bike which will be replaced by my girlfriends aunts KIA PRIDE!! :puke:bawling
I dont know wether to laugh or cry.
Check out the pictures in my album if your interested, I'm selling it at £3350.

This incredibly low price is due to the scratches on the wheels curtousy of midland superbikes and the fact that a prolongued battery change has caused the clocks to go back to 0, now showing 12 miles. It has done as near as makes no difference 15,000 miles, (MOT certificate from february shows 13,000 miles). It has never let me down to start immedeatly in any conditions. (Normally I'm the problem, thought it had broken down the other day but i'd left it in gear :jack). I have got some brand new only just put on blue flame exhausts which i'll sell to you for an extra £200, just bought for £360. I'll upload some more photo's later today.

I'll accept offers but don't take the piss, the recesion allready has combined with ASDA's apauling wages.

I'm gonna sorely miss this bike and will be buying one the moment i get a decent job. Never had so much confidence on a bike, especially after i had the suspension properlly set up for me and a set of bridgstone BT-016 hoops.

If you don't want to buy the bike but feel like giving me a job so i can keep it, I am a good site engineer with a HNC in civil Engineering. But have just enrolled to do a level 3 motorcycle mechanics course at coalville college. If any body can help with either you could quite happily wax me up and use me as a surf board. :thumbup

Cheers Lads for your help on this forum with my bike, you've really helped me get the best out of it. :bawling:bawling:bawling:bawling:bawling:bawling:bawling:bawling:bawling

Sorry to hear your predicament. From the various forums I frequent, there are plenty more people in the same boat. Hope things pick up for you soon.

I'm sorry to hear this fella. I dismantled my edwards for similar reasons although i was too proud to admit it at the time.

One day you'l look back and have a little chuckle whilst sat on a newer better bike ;)

Scavenger! Feel for you mate, shame your a bit far north could ask about if you were in London, firm I work for have a fair bit on. Good luck.

Cheers lads,

Sorry smiffy ive no power commander.

Managed to trade my bike in for a Honda CBR600RR accompanied with a grand cash. Not really in to the Jap bikes but i would have been stupid to have turned down a motorcycle alternative to a Kia Pride with a grand spending money (keeps a few bailiffs off my back for a few months anyway!)

Has anybody got any experience with an 03 model CBR? Any good? Gonna miss the Aprilia, I walked up to it in the car park for the last time this morning on the way back from ASDA and was completely taken back by have good looking the thing is. Especially with the blue flame cans on.

Still, **** happens. I'll get another at my first given chance.

Mate the CBR wont turn heads or make you feel special but it will do all you want it to, i reckon ya got a result and its better than no bike at all, so enjoy it for now and i hope things improve for you in the new year, have a good one fella :thumbup

the 03 600rr is a great bike.....handles sweet.....very small and turns nice and quick.also looks very stylish in my opinion(rc211v looks).shame it has got upside down forks though....think the 04 model was the first with them

+1.

Mate, you will enjoy the CBR, as long as you don`t keep looking back at the Mille (easy for me to say, I know, and I don`t say it lightly bud, as I really sympathise with you, especially at this time of year).......BUT; looking forwards again, the CBR6 is a cracking bike, and I promise you that you will be embarrassing one or two riders on so-called "superior" machinery here and there.

They`re a quick bike as-is, but like most 600`s you have to keep the revs up, but once you get used to that you`ll enjoy what is a helluva balanced bike, and a great ride.

Again, something to look forward to when times are a bit better is being back on the Mille, but until then, rag the arse off the CBR mate ! :biggrin:thumbup

This is the Jap that has replaced my beloved RSV. Not sure what to make of it yet, not bad though. This is it when i came to pick it up from world of bikes. It's got its picture in pg 27 of RIDE Mag atm. Didnt know that when i traded. Looks good in the mag. Looks good in real life actually... I feel like i'd be betraying my RSV if i end up really liking this thing,as if i was cheating on the missus........... I'm sad i know

If you're not sure what to make of it, you're not thrashing it enough. Give it the berries, they're great bikes.

There are many on here that would always maintain that rsv's are the best and forget the rest! Though the first part may well be true, there are still loads of excellent jap bikes out there. When upgrading from my sv650 (which btw is a fantastic bike which I'd always recommend for a first bike) i was after a bigger twin and very nearly bought an sp1, my mate has one and i still think its an excellent bit of kit. Although i did buy the rsv in the end i even considered a gsxr750 after a test ride :devious I would be just as fast on that as my ape but it just lacked that soul. Even so, smaller revvy bikes can be a hoot to ride so wring the neck of that cbr and and enjoy it! :thumbup

i had 03 cbr rr from new for three years did 20,000mls including trip to barcelona fantastic little bike ,only problem was they seem to use alot of oil from new so just keep a check on level,

looks good from here :thumbup
i`ve never had a cbr but enjojed my time on an R6 , you can still have two wheeled fun :devious

So I guess you'll not be wanting those rear frame sliders then??

Never riden a 600RR (or any other jap 4 for that matter - what have I been dicking about at :dunno) but the write up's generally big it up as a fantastic bike.

All the best with it.

DT

looks a nice example mate.....i'm sure the rsv will forgive you....there's plenty of mods you can do to the rr and don't forget all the great replica paint schemes that you can do to!!
