Just a heads-up on the fail mode I just experienced. The boot anchoring the wires to my ignition switch had cracked/failed. Upshot was the wires were flexing too much with the turn of the yoke. Eventually this caused a break at a solder connection in the switch. In my case it was power to the ecu and immob, with all the confusion and grief associated. Be warned.
