Hi all my tuono o3 has gone a bit wonkey donkey

symptoms I turned on the ignition and some of the dash lights came on the speedo jumped to kph when I turned off the inginition the lights stayed on and all the time the fuel pump was injecting so much fuel it was dripping out of exhaust joint before i removed battery terminal when I refitted it all worked fine :bawling

There have been several threads along these same lines lately. Symptoms differ slightly (just ask Weeksy) but the fix has been similar with few exceptions. It seems dry electrical joints cause more than their fair share of woes. So by disconnecting and reconnecting your battery leads, you have made a more solid connection and thus fixed the problem - maybe.

Other things to check: battery earth leads (both the battery terminal and frame mount); and your brown connectors between the alternator stator and rectifier unit. It's a good idea to go over all your electrical connections every so often in any case.

Some blokes also use a dialectric grease on these joints during re-assembly.

This prevents corrosion and encourages a good conductivity.
