To upright....it'll hopefully look Tuono'sh...I know some will say sell and but one, and that's true, but as I read somewhere, I know I've not it that long at all, but it'd mean starting a fresh with another bike I dont know anything about.

I've saw an 03 Tuono near me, the stealer wants £3000, and would probably offer buttons for mine anyway maybe about a 1000-1500 if I was lucky, so buy the time I made up the diffirence, I'd be as well trying to buy the parts and do it.

Apart from that I'll sell

The way I wrote that I'm making it sound as if it'll cost about 1000+ to convert (and in some cases it will)....I'd hope to do alot cheaper but still want to look like the proper thing and not a bodge up

few from my conversion... still have to get her out for some proper photos as she's had a bit more done to her

i'll take a few photos of the bars and risers when i get home... i actually managed to pick up a set of b-king risers and renthals for the princely sum of £25.. so just literally measured out and drilled the top yoke.. beauty about the b-king risers is they're rubber mounted which helps reduce the vibes from the big v-twin brute..

Ok thanks......I dont want to drill or cut anything if I can help it though so as to keep my originals

best thing to do then is buy a tatty second hand top yoke.. it's that or spend the extra money and buy one of the streetfighter conversion kits, which includes your allow triple clamp, with risers, bars and lines.. they work out pretty dear though.. can't mind off the top of my head just how much they were. but i recall cringing at the price so it must have been bad enough lol

'Comfort' kits are about £300 I think and still need lots more parts to make a tuono.

Rob :)

Alot of people have had problems with comfort kits, like they don't fit :dunno
If your gonna do it my way you get the best of both, full fairing & comfy riding position :thumbup Gen 1 tuono's are damm ugly anyway

few of the bars...

wee buns to do.. literally took myself and a mate in and around 20 minutes to mark, drill and fit the risers... next came longer brake and clutch lines, everything else was long enough when routed correctly ;)

Hi, I'm liking your conversion. Thinking of doing exactly the same. You say they were b-king risers? What diameter renthals are they? Any reflections on your conversion now a few months have past? Any technical probs you came across doing the work? Thanks.

cheers rich...

nope no technical problems so far... the renthals are just standard diameter(i can measure exact if you like) they're not fat bars though... only thing i needed after the bars were installed were longer brake and clutch lines which i was going to replace anyway as the stainless ones on it were a bit worse for wear.. that aside it was just a case of routing the throttle cables round over the top of the frame and round the outside of the forks (rather than under the frame and through).. the choke cable was routed slightly differently aswell and the tank was spaced up 20mm with nylon spacers i had a friend knock up for me, in order to prevent the cables from becoming rubbed through by the tank..

this worked out a treat as it now allows more air to the renegade kit i've recently installed..

the two latest additions to her.. courtesy of 2 members from here and t-zone
