Can anyone help?
Occasionally the bikes stalls at lights etc (tickover), I think it needs just a little extra tickover (currently sitting at just over 1k rpm). Can anyone tell me if there is an idle screw and where it might be? :dunno

Hi Matey - I had a similar issue with mine about four weeks ago - found this demo on youtube and it sorted the problem right out.

Fook me my bike is famous !! :)

Dont think adjusting the throttle cable is the right way to set idle...

See here for a gen 1:
ED'S GARAGE BLOG: Adjusting The Idle On An Aprilia RSV 1000 R

note the comment at the end for the gen 2 not having an idle screw as it has an iac ( which i assume is a idle air control valve - often a stepper motor controlled by an ecu... )

Yep,the Gen1 has a screw for adjusting the idle. The Gen2 has no adjuster as its controlled by the ecu.To adjust it properly,it needs to be done with the dealers Axone.

Well,
Thanks for the replies lads
Gen 2 (which is mine) doesn't have the screw adjust your correct. That also means that adjustment at the throttle does nothing.
Called the agent and booked it in.........................but then I thought fook it I'll av a look.
Gotta be something at top end 'cos that's where the injectors are, so off came the seat /tank lifted ........low and behold.
I just gently pulled on the pipe and look what I found

Its 7pm so no shops open now (not that I'd be able to get that size pipe off the shelf here in Dubai!)

So cut it down, there is enough on the pipe to allow for this. while I was at it I nicked a piece of air pipe from the fish tank and slipped it over the original pipe.

Although I haven't road tested it yet !! Ill do that tomorrow and if its ok I'll cancel the trip to the agent.
