I went for a ride today

S

Smiffy

After being locked up all day yesterday I thought I'd go for a blast today!!!
The bike was in showroom condition, washed waxed and sitting in the shed waiting for another day out.

Saturday evening I spoke to a mate and said that I was off to Boxhill Sunday morning. Left home at 10.30 just as all the white frost had cleared....and the sun was up. It was brilliant the roads locally were drying and it was quite warm.
Boxhill via Godstone and Redhill is around a 20 mile trip (each way) we had to stop 3 times each way to clean our Visors, with the sun being low etc ..we couldnt see sod all.
When I got home I looked over my bike and thought I'd share it with you lot,

Im sure there is a number plate there somewhere officer

But the beast is clean again and like a coiled spring is ready to go for the next blast.:thumbup

Nice face on the bike there Smiffy, wished I had managed to get a wifey pass.

Had the outlaws round for most of the day, managed an hour down the shed rebuilding the bike and that's all.

I think I'll wait until all the salt has gone apparently they use something that is now vegetable based which stays on the roads longer makes them a lot more slippery than the old salt and is more corrosive to ally.
My mille had been used in the bad weathers because when I stripped it the oil tank was rusty I had to sand off and repaint as that part collects all the crap from the road.

I thought you were laid up with a bad back mate!!
It was far too dirty out there for the White and Gold Mille of the year
