I need to sell my Mille

Went out for a ride with a mate on Tuseday night down very twisty damp gravelly roads. Roads that we both know well. He was on his new KTM425 SupaMoto. I just couldnt keep up. Not at all. I was so ashamed. It was like he was on rails. My bike is well set up . Ask Griff. But there was no way I could keep up.

In my defence he is 19 and the county trials champion. But it still hurts.

Going for a lay down now.

That my friend is called ageing gracefully.

Come on Sabre, put it in context mate, "very twisty damp gravelly roads" are built for his sort of bike not yours so is not a fair matchup. Like Areessmill says - get him on some nice fast roads with some sweeping bends and he would soon be a dot in your mirror.

for me its not the bike its all down to the riders involved doesn't matter how good your set up is its the pilot, sorry mate.

& your point is slow boy...:thumbup

its not the mille is it chimp:nana
not having a go at sabre either road conditions and if its twisty twisty the advantage is with the supermoto (aslong as no straights:lol)

Thanks. You have confirmed what I was thinking. Time to get a Runner

Mate, the words "County trials champion" ring loud and clear in this case, as it sounds like he must be talented, and as such, will probably be quick on anything that you put him on, given a bit of acclimatisation time.

Some are just quicker than others mate; fact of life, but don`t sell the Mille, whatever you do. Just accept that there are others out there faster than you, I know I do ! :biggrin

I know it hurts a bit when you get shown the road, but again, the age thing won`t do you any favours, and again, I know what that feels like too.

Just enjoy the Mille mate, and think of all those out on the road that YOU have passed in your time, and never given a second thought to, as you were just quicker............simple as. :thumbup

I don't think he's being serious about selling it :biggrin

You know me too well Sprok. Having slept on it a couple of nights I think that no one could have kept up with him - on that road, that night - he was on fire. Horses for courses and all that, If youve seen the Super Moto vid posted here you will know what I mean.:pirate
