Roger, is the fork leg just slightly weaping or is there fork oil actually leaking through the seal. If the bike hasn't been used for a while then you can get a small amount of weaping past the seal
Ohlins seals are cheaper from Ohlins rather than Aprilia. Is the bike still under warranty? A common mod is to fit Suzuki GSXR 1000 k3/4 seals which fit straight in the ohlins forks. The GSXR seals have two lips rather than one as on the ohlins seal. Speak to the guys at Southern Cross as they're not too far from you

Having ridden the bike over the weekend the fork is definitely leaking so I will need to get it replaced. I'll give Southern Cross a call.
Photos to follow in a couple of weeks when I've had the Akros fitted !
