Well after having a tuono a few years ago I have been riding a Yamaha fz1s, he yam is a great bike and is a bit of a rocket at high revs,it's comfy for me and my pillion , it's reliable and will do 130 miles before filling up, I can ride around I. The wrong gear and 30 mph is easy in most gears so why do I miss the tuono !!!!

Sounds just like my Gen 1 (apart from being unable to pootle at 30 at anything above 2nd gear) :thumbup
- I typically run to 130 before fill ups, 110 before fuel light comes on, unless really steaming it.

Actually, I've not ridden a Fazer so can't directly compare, but I thought the performance over standing 1/4 mile beat the Fazer hands down?

Got 122 before filling up on my tour this week and only 14 lts went into the tank. With gel seat 250 miles in reasonable comfort. It is a bit lumpy at low revs compared to an inline 4 but then the noise it makes in low gears stops twats walking out in front of me

Pikemyth welcome back .You miss it because it was special, after all that time you took to choose it & keep it in the conservatory you did'nt get to ride it enough & Fazers have no soul..
Saying that my Tuono goes on Wednesday so i may feel the same way in the future.
Regards to Mrs Pike & Pikelets:thumbup

What year Tuono you missing? I have a Gen 2 plus a n '07 Fazer and love them both, but they are different as day & night. I like the Jeckyll & Hyde personality of the Fazer but the grunt pulling power from startup to redline of the V-Twin is like nothing else.
