Yes you're right....I was thinking one half of the usb to comp went in it for the programming but I'm wrong, that connect a 9v battery for power/charging..
The cable I'm looking must go into a connector at other end in the pc3 loom to put the programmes in ect

The usb is under the cover in the middle of pc3 in the picture. Just to the right of the white socket under a black plastic cover.

You don't need to buy it from them just get a mini usb cable (not micro usb) from ebay. 99p delivered
You've probably already got one in the house. They are common as **** on mp3 players, cameras, smartphones etc.

Ok, my phone's an HTC Desire S, one end's usb (charger) the other's maybe this mini usb.....to be honest I've never gave it any thought till now, I just plug it in to charge

I just checked cos my son has one...some newer HTC phones (like the desire s) have non-standard leads (they are NOT mini usb at the phone end).
This is the kind of thing you want...

What are you trying to do to the pc3?
I connected mine just to check it worked and made a backup of the existing custom map. I've just left it alone since.

I just want to learn how to use it and see what map's allready on....I was tempted to press the buttons the other day to see what happened, then thought fk it dont touch it till I read about it first, known me I'll bugger it and it wont start :biggrin

I've not been tempted to touch the buttons.
I thought there was a problem with mine when I first connected it. I got a message something like 'Device not communicating'.
This was with the ignition on but engine not started. I started the engine and the error message went and all was OK.
